Meet Rhett


Rhett is a joyful, loving adult who has a way of making people smile wherever he goes. He was diagnosed in childhood with moderate intellectual disability, microcephaly, and cerebral palsy. His intellectual disability significantly affects his ability to live independently, and he requires daily adult supervision, assistance, and support.


Rhett has also been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, which can sometimes affect him socially and behaviorally. Like so many people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Rhett thrives with routine, encouragement, patience, and the support of those who know and love him.


But Rhett is so much more than a diagnosis. He loves people without judgment and has a genuine joy for life. He loves good food, music, church, hunting, fishing, bowling, and making those around him laugh.


Our greatest hope with Life With Rhett is that through sharing Rhett’s life, we can also share the love of Jesus. Rhett has such a pure and unconditional way of loving people, and we pray that when people watch him, they feel loved, encouraged, and reminded that they are valuable and loved by God.


We hope people can see a little bit of Jesus through Rhett—in the way he loves others, the joy he finds in simple things, his love for worship, and the way he accepts people just as they are. If one of Rhett’s videos makes someone smile on a difficult day, gives someone hope, or reminds them that Jesus loves them, then sharing his life has a purpose far greater than we ever imagined.


Through Life With Rhett, we want the world to see the person before the disability and experience the joy, laughter, faith, and unconditional love that Rhett brings into our lives every single day.
